Land for Community Benefit

Help shape the future of the neighborhoods around the State Fairgrounds and International District.

The Center for Housing Economics is working with neighbors and community partners to identify vacant, abandoned, and underused land that could be acquired and managed for long-term community benefit.

We want to hear from the people who know these neighborhoods best. Your knowledge can help us identify properties, understand neighborhood priorities, and explore opportunities for affordable housing, local businesses and jobs, health, education, open space, and other community benefits.

Do you know of land or property we should know about?

Are there vacant, abandoned, underused, or problem properties in your neighborhood? Tell us where they are and what we should know about them. Even if you don’t know of a specific property, we’d like to hear what community benefits matter to you.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping us explore how land can create lasting benefits for the community.
